The situation is entirely different when considering vehicle ride characteristics and safety: here, the track system plays a very great role. Absolutely prerequisite here are strict planning standards and the corresponding verification of operational strength. For the HSL Taiwan high-speed line project, the Rheda 2000® ballastless track was installed for the first time in Asia. Track installation on bridges and viaducts demanded special planning measures.

AWARD

MTR Corporation Hong Kong awarded its 2013 Bronze Innovation Award for optimization of track systems in Project XRL830. In this project, Bachmann Consult – on behalf of the contractor CCQJV – was responsible for detail planning and preparation of construction drawings for the ballastless track: bi-block track form, without continuous reinforcement.
